PUJTA GUPTA: How Has She Been?
SPOTTED: The beautiful Pujta Gupta, Miss Universe India 2007 (who had a top 10 finish) in Cannes Festival donning a sophisticated rose gown.
How has she been by the way? We haven’t heard about her, have we? I guess she’s now busy doing her films in India. I read somewhere about her upcoming film Shortcut Romeo which is a remake of Tamil film’s Thiruttu Payale and was shot in Kenya. I can say that she’s doing great in her showbiz career. She has starred in few Indian films, and the recent ones were Faltu and Go Goa Gone. She also has AIDS awareness causes. By the way, she’s in Cannes Film Fest for the screening of the film Ali is Lost.
She is terribly gorgeous in her dress in this recent photo of hers. She has a bit of Ximena Navarette in my opinion. She exudes elegance and sophistication. She was robbed big time in Miss Universe 2007. She could have snatched the crown that year if she had a spot in top 5.
Here’s what an Indian designer Nitin Bal Chauhan say about her:
“”I’ve known Puja for over five years now. We met when she’d come to audition my short film Lost or Found. Not only did she get the role, but she became a good friend too. I knew she’d win, for she was prepared, and had the right confidence levels. She’s a very chirpy, bubbly, full-of-energy girl. She knows the martial arts, and you can be punched if you’re out of line too! But she’s not one to party, likes being among a select few friends, and is not comfortable around unknown people. You’ll usually find her lost in thought, scribbling poetry when she’s free.”
