Miss Universe 2013 Top 15 Final Prediction
MISS UNIVERSE 2013 TOP 15 FINAL PREDICTION
Our final prediction is based on the over-all performance of the candidates this year: from arrivals, candid shots, special events, invitations, insiders’ observations, and fashion shows up to the preliminary competition. We also included history and politics so as to have it done right. We know how cards are played in Miss Universe so it’s not all about beauty and brain. Lots of goddesses have been robbed in Miss Universe just because of politics. We know that predicting who the girls will make it is a tough job, and we’re putting on all our resources to complete the right girls in our list. But these factors are strong in choosing the top 15. Still, MUO crowns the most unpredictable winner. So, with the collaborative effort between a group of pageant experts and enthusiasts, we believe that more than half of this list is going to make it, but the winner?–we have no idea. What we know is that any of these girls in our list will win. So here is our top 15:
India got it right this year. Their representative is so far the best in the last five years. The last Indian caliber we saw who graced the MU stage was Puja Gupta. Shilpa might have made it last year, but she really was not the type of Indian beauty that we’ve worshipped before. Though Manasi isn’t that facially stunning, she really laid her cards out. She’s way better than Shilpa. She got nicer wardrobe too; that gown screams “expensive”! Perfect detailing! Obviously, India is trying to bring back its title as a powerhouse of Asia. Let us also add that Trump is expanding business ventures in Pune, India. We’re not saying that this can be the sole reason, because obviously Manasi is performing well, but this can be a factor. If she makes it right to the finals and climbs all the way to the top 5, she’s gonna be unstoppable. We know how representatives from India play in Q&A, don’t we?
Obviously Europeans love this race. Margarita Moran (Miss Universe 1973) was crowned in a European country, and Miss Supranational 2013 Mutya Datul was also crowned in another European country. The press loves her and major sponsors too, proof of which is her participation to nearly all special sponsorial events. She has a very strong fan vote, and Philippines has been performing well in Miss Universe in the past 3 years (top 5 finish). She’s in our top 5, but we believe that it’s not yet time for the Philippines to have its third Miss Universe. Why? It’s because she lacks the appeal of a Miss Universe queen. She’s inconsistent. We heard that she is favored by the MUO to win, and that she’s one of the “Trump Six”. If that’s the case, then our vibe might not be correct. But it’s always NO for the crown for her..that’s what we believe.
Back-to-back win? NO. MUO can never sacrifice its integrity in replace of making a history. Aside from that, Russia will never crown an American in their land; it’s never gonna be celebrated. Need we remind you of how loathsome they were against USA during the interview of Olivia? It was five fingers pointed out at the US government. And why are we generalizing? Because that’s the truth. But will she place? YES! TOP 5 FINISH! She’s one of the prettiest faces, visible in most activities, handpicked in Tony Ward Fashion Show, aced the Yamamay photoshoot. Top sum it up, she played her role very well! And here, look at the historical pattern: 1960-Linda Jeanne Bement (crown), 1961 – Sharon Renee Brown (4th RU), 1967 – Sylvia Hitchcock (crown), 1968 – Dorothy Anstett (4th RU), 1995 – Chelsi Smith (crown), 1996 – Ali Landry (top 6), 1997 – Brook Lee (crown), 1998 – Shawnae Jebbia (top 5). Need we say more?
Even though we are not sold of her very strong and fierce looks, we still totally think she’s destined to be in the semi-finals. She stole the preliminary competition show with her astounding performance and impressive long gown, she won the heart of Russians because of her linguistic prowess, and she is obviously competitive. A clear standout, a frontrunner, but still NO for the crown. She can clinch a top-5 spot, but not the title. MUO will not favor this type of beauty. Look at Olivia and Leila, Monic does not possess that kind of beauty. Aside from that, the Puerto Rican queens who won Miss Universe were miles better than Monic. With that said, she can never be one of them. We don’t like her attitude too, very un-queenly.
She’s noticeably one of the best performers this year. She started from nowhere. She wasn’t even in prediction lists. But when she set food to Russia and started showing what she’s got, that’s when she took our attention. Her performance during the preliminary competition was skookum (brave, strong, impressive)! She managed to outshine other frontrunners, and we literally had our eyes on her. Need we mention how she transformed herself in the Tony Ward Fashion show, and on how she made a big impression during the first Yamamay photo shoot? She has nothing on her but her performance. She got no politics and sash factor. Nicaragua is not even a powerhouse country in MU. She’s just the kind of queen who worked so hard for this. Can she be the one for the crown?–60% chance of winning we believe! If she does well in the finals, Nicaragua will definitely celebrate!
Pretty face, great prelim performance, impressive candid shots, visible in most special events, and YES for the top 15! We had her in our radar during her arrival. She’s extremely gorgeous. Her long gown during the prelims was elegantly arresting! She’s been in our radar for quite a while, and she’s pulled things off since then. Can she possibly be the girl for the crown? NO! Who doesn’t know about the possibility of a new “gas war” between Russia and Ukraine that has inched since Tuesday and the circulating rumor about one bitter political rivalry? Russia, a strong country as it is, will never crown a Ukranian candidate in their land just like USA. Does it have something to do with Miss Universe? Yes! The press, the Russian judges, the people, the Russian sponsors—they definitely have something to say about who wins. But she can definitely be in our top 5.
At our last prediction, she was left behind. But after her stance in the Tony Ward fashion show and other special events invitation, she got her place back. This Polynesia queen is just one of the make-it-or-break-it girl. Now she’s in, the next time she’s out. But we can never deny how she stood out during the preliminary competition. What we are worried of about this girl is that she lacks the spark to be considered a frontrunner. She’s one of our sentimental favorites, and we predict that she can only make it to top 10. Her catwalk is average, but her facial beauty is awe-inspiring. Her exotic look is just remarkable. She will continue the 4-year streak of France in Miss Universe, but just like her predecessors, she’ll not advance to top 5. Inasmuch as we want her to be there, we couldn’t. She hasn’t proven much of herself yet. It’s a NO for the crown, too.
When we talk about Miss Universe, the first thing that comes in our mind is Venezuela. It’s already a name, a sash, a powerhouse, a pillar in MU. And Gabriela really lives up to that name. After her crowing, she was bashed to death, but later did we know, that it was just one of Osmel’s strategies. Weeks before the competition, Gabriela rose like a Phoenix and dominated the scene. She started making waves in Moscow. Right from the time when she set foot in Russia, up to the preliminary competition, she has done an outstanding job! But if you guys ask us whether she’s gonna win it or not, the answer would be NO! Gone are the days when the kind of beauty Gabriela possesses are off the charts. This time around, her fierceness is never a Nexus-crown standard. She can place up to top 10, far from the crown.
Front runner, press favorite, Russia’s princess, good personality, very pretty face, superb catwalk—she has it all! She’s been a major favorite for the crown, and yes she still is. We believe that she has 60% chance of winning the whole thing. 60% because of the fact that most major favorites don’t come out as winners. Aside from that, she doesn’t have much of the personality we think MUO is looking for. If only Miss Czech Republic’s persona is with her, she will have it all…no questions! That’s what’s missing in her, she lacks the spark and the BOOM factor. If she manages to get it off in the finals, like she shines all throughout, she will bring home the bacon…served hot!
Is Flaviana Matata joining again? Because this girl is a complete reminder of her. The thing that we love about her is she never failed to impress us in the preliminary competition. We first spotted her in the glamshot photos (too late, yeah?) where she exuded a very gorgeous and seductive African aura. She obviously aced that glam shoot. During the prelims, she was one of the big surprises. We never thought she could outshine the rest of the frontrunners. We believe that she’s the only African lady who will make it this year. We understand that she was not visible in some special sponsorial events, but we also believe that she is more than deserving to be in the top 15. She knows what it is to be in Miss Universe stage, and she did her homework. We believe in her. We have a strong vibe that she will make it. BUT, can she be the girl for the crown? Unfortunately NO. She doesn’t have the MU appeal, and she lacks a lot of things for her to have the crown.
Talking about rumors of having Miss Universe 2014 be staged in Brazil, and the rumors of soon-to-rise first Donald Trump-branded project in Brazil are just enough considerations for this girl to place this year. Adding Jakylene’s superb stance in this year’s pageant to those factors, we decided to have her in our top 15 list. She’s not facially pretty but her performance in the prelims just proved how she can clinch a spot in the finals. She’s also a pageant veteran which makes her a catwalk diva. She may have not been noticed and handpicked by the sponsors, but she managed to raise the standard in the MU stage the other night. Can she be the girl for the crown?—40% YES!–The only thing we are dubious about her is that her beauty evokes zero admiration for the crown. She has the chance, but just a little bit of it.
The biggest ‘wower’ in the Tony Ward fashion show, and one of the most talked-about candidates this year. Her soft facial spot and her strong jawlines are just perfectly crafted. She’s one of the goddesses that we think will make her country proud. She’s a frontrunner; she looked great in her candid shots, and she aced every single event she managed to be in. She’s a favored candidate by MUO and most major sponsors love her. We think that she has a strong chance of becoming the next Miss Universe because she obviously did what she had to do. Great performance in the prelims, plus commanding presence…we just love her! She’s in our top 5, and she has 70% chance of winning!
Inasmuch as we want not to include her in our list because of her unimpressive performance during the prelims, we simply can’t ignore how she managed to be one of the frontrunners before the show. She disappointed us with her ordinary look and brawny structure, but she never failed us in some sponsorial events. She rocked the runway in Tony Wards’ show and she put herself on top in Yamamay photo shoot. We also cannot ignore that 5-year streak of Australia in MU in the last 5 years. Australia is a powerhouse and Olivia has a very strong personality. We thought that she might follow the footsteps of Scherri-Lee Biggs who had a top-10 finish.
Lovely gown in the prelims, visible in the fashion day in Crocus, outstanding performance during the prelims, and a catwalk diva! These are good enough reasons why she deserves a spot. She wasn’t handpicked in most special events, though. We had her in our first prediction list, but she lost the spark when she arrived in Moscow. However, she got her place back in the prelims. She was one of the best performers in the preliminary competition. Let us also add the growing Trump business in Panama. But can she be the girl for the crown? NO! She is not the Miss Universe type. She’s just a performer. She will just complete the top 15, that’s it.
First big reason why she’s in our list is that she comes from the host country. Second thing is that she did pretty well during the prelims. She was also visible in most sponsorial events solely because she is the ‘host girl’. We have this vibe that she can make it to top 10, but not in top 5. She’s gonna rob a lot of frontrunners if that happens. Can she be the girl for the crown? NO. A clapper in Miss World can never be a winner in Miss Universe; that’s too much in a plate for MUO to digest. She’s not even facially beautiful to deserve the crown. She’s never gonna be the winner.
