MISS PHILIPPINES ORG SLASHES OFF HEAVY FAVORITE
Pageant fans all over the world are keeping tabs on the Miss Philippines national pageant (Bb. Pilipinas) and have just recently been rattled by a news about a heavy favorite for the crown, Kim Ross de los Santos, being allegedly disqualified from the Miss Philippines competition due to a sexy photoshoot she did before the pageant as part of her modelling career. Jonas Gaffud (Philippine beauty maker) confirmed in a Facebook post that she is indeed officially disqualified. BPCI hasn’t released an official statement, though.
BPCI (Bb. Pilipinas Charities, Inc.) strongly imposes the Miss Philippines pageant rule of not qualifying ladies who posed naked/sexually suggestive/provocative in any magazine or print ad media (published or not). Over the years they have disqualified heavy favorites like Joey Mead and Sandra Seifert due to the rule. Some pageant fans are crying out foul about BPCI’s inconsistency in implementing the rules.
While others think Kim Ross could be the next Miss Universe Philippines, other Filipino fans are not considering her as a big loss since they’re up for other frontrunners like Kylie Verzosa, Ria Rabajante, Nicole Manalo, and Angelica Alita.
We’re waiting from our correspondents from the Philippines for more updates. Stay tuned!
